Our Mission
Nurturing character development, life skills, and promoting healing in young people through string music education.
HeartStrings is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that aims to serve orphans around the world by teaching life skills through music. We believe that early intervention and character development through learning a string instrument will create higher quality lives for children.

According to UNICEF, there are over 153 million orphans worldwide. In the US alone, there are nearly 35 million children who have experienced trauma. Many of these children are growing up in environments where their physical needs are met, but their social and mental needs are not.
Learning a stringed instrument is very exciting, yet requires the development of certain skills necessary in everyday life, skills such as patience and perseverance. It is action-oriented and children love action and engagement. Through a very carefully crafted curriculum, HeartStrings focuses on the development of these skills as they are having fun learning a string instrument.
